Fabrics

We are committed to changing the way clothes are made, from farm to factory. This starts with the materials we choose, from the soil the cotton is grown in to the processes of washing the garments, we adhere to certifications such as GOTS to protect the farmers, their environment and their communities. Our collections bring a sense of luxury to sustainable fashion through the innovation of new fabrics such as; organic cotton brushed velvet, TENCEL™Lyocell silky party wear and structured organic cotton denim.

Fairtrade Certified Cotton

Fairtrade International (FLO) is a non-profit organisation focusing on the empowerment of producers and workers in developing countries through trade. FLO certified cotton guarantees that the farmer is paid a fair trade minimum price for their cotton. In addition, the farmer receives a premium, which they can then use to fund community development projects.

Although FLO certification is for the cotton itself, goods made with the cotton have to be certified throughout the supply chain, and must adhere to strict social and environmental standards.

Organic Cotton

Organic cotton products are produced without harmful synthetic chemicals or additives and are grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment.

Organic production systems replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilisers, and build biologically diverse agriculture.

Third-party certification organisations such as GOTS, verify that organic producers use only approved methods and materials throughout production.

In addition, federal regulations prohibit the use of genetically engineered seed for organic farming.

It took us a long time and a lot of research but we are proud to be working with SARP JEANS on our debut GOTS certified dyed and washed denim jeans.

SARP producers have been audited by FWF (Fair Wear Foundation) and have guaranteed us their laundry partners are GOTS certified. They are currently undertaking research and pioneering innovative development to find ways to improve the distressing and washing techniques of denim.

Employees are trained about the environment, and efforts are made to protect both water and energy. In addition to this, they run a tree planting project in the arid regions of Turkey, and so far have planted 1000 trees.

Unlike synthetic materials that are extremely slow to degrade, wool is a natural material that will biodegrade when disposed of.

Wool is a sustainable, renewable resource. Every year new wool grows on a sheep’s back and can be removed without any harm to the animal.
